Your questions answered
Starting coaching can feel like a significant step and it’s completely natural to have questions before you begin.
Here are some of my most frequently asked questions and the answers may help to provide clarity and reassurance as you consider your next steps.
Frequently asked questions
Coaching is focused on helping you move forward with clarity, practical strategies and considered action.
While there is space to explore what you are experiencing, the emphasis is on understanding your options and taking meaningful steps forward, at a pace that feels right for you.
Many clients choose coaching when they are looking for the combination of a more structured, forward-focused approach alongside emotional support.
If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about what to do next, coaching can help you gain clarity and begin moving forward with greater confidence.
You do not need to have everything figured out before starting. The process is designed to meet you where you are, and to help you make sense of your situation step by step.
You can expect a calm, supportive and structured space where you are both listened to and thoughtfully guided.
Each session is tailored to you, with a focus on your situation, your priorities and where you want to get to. Together, we focus on helping you understand your circumstances more clearly and move forward with a greater sense of direction and control
My professional coaching is bespoke to my clients, so this can vary depending on your individual situation and what you would like to achieve by working with me.
Clients begin with a 1.5 hour appointment to gain clarity and then I usually work with clients consistently over a number of sessions.
Deeper exploration, meaningful change and lasting progress tends to happen through continuity, not a one-off, isolated conversation. It’s important that the commitment feels right for you, practically as well as emotionally.
I encourage everyone to begin with an initial conversation with me, which is complimentary, so we can explore what feels right for you.
As we go along, I will always offer guidance on what is likely to be most beneficial for you.
I offer both online and in-person sessions. My in-person sessions usually take place in a therapy room in the Colswolds. I do also travel to see clients if requested. This is by prior arrangement and at an additional cost to the client.
I see clients across the UK and internationally.

Creating a safe, non-judgemental, discreet and trusted space is central to how I work.
As with any professional service, if there were a safeguarding concern involving immediate risk of harm to you or someone else, appropriate action would need to be taken.
Appointments are usually available within a short timeframe.
I aim to avoid long waiting lists, recognising that many clients are seeking support at a time when they need it most.
The first step is to book an initial conversation, after which we can arrange your first session.
The best place to begin is with an initial conversation. This gives you the opportunity to talk through your situation, ask me any questions you may have and start to gain clarity on your next steps, without pressure or commitment.
Yes, I work with both men and women.
Yes, I do coach couples, particularly where they have a shared intention to gain clarity and improve their relationship dynamics, such as communication, trust and respect to enhance the health of their relationship.
Also, if a couple feel their relationship is over, I help them navigate separation or divorce thoughtfully and constructively.
My approach is coaching-based and is best suited to those who are open to reflection and forward movement.
The best way to explore this is through an initial conversation, where we can discuss your particular circumstances and needs.
